Oath

Lately I have been posting about songs that me and my loved ones share as a way to remember each other, we all have a song that reminds us of someone. This post I choose to share my song with my best friend Allie Payne. I love her to death and would do anything for her, she has been here through thick and thin, and I know she feels the way I do. She really is the only one that I consider a true friend. This song is the perfect way to describe our friendship.

The song is called Oath by Cher Lloyd. Its a great song and I enjoy it greatly, me and Allie picked this song because we both were in the car driving to the beach (when we first became friends (which we did amazingly fast)) the song came on and we both just thought it was perfect.

Cher Lloyd wrote this song (clearly to her best friend) throughout the song she explains some of the things that her and her best friends did when they were younger. She continues to explain that they are perfect as best friend and that they complete each other. The whole song is her saying to her best friend that no matter what she will be there for her.

These are the lyrics to the song.
Yo, my best friend, best friend 'til the very end
Cause best friends, best friends don't have to pretend
You need a hand, and I'm right there right beside you
You in the dark, I'll be the bright light to guide you
'Member the time, time, times sneaking out the house
All of the time, time, times that you had your doubts
And don't forget all the trouble we got into
We got something you can't undo, do

Laughing so damn hard
Crashed your dad's new car
All the scars we share
I promise, I swear

Wherever you go, just always remember
That you got a home for now and forever
And if you get low, just call me whenever
This is my oath to you
Wherever you go, just always remember
You're never alone, we're birds of a feather
And we'll never change, no matter the weather
This is my oath to you

I know I drive you crazy, hmm, sometimes
I know I call you lazy, and that's most times
But you complete me, and that's no lie
You are my tuxedo, and I'm your bow tie
We in the car, sing, sing, singing our song
Rocking the building, tear it down, like we king kong
And in my eyes, you can do, do no wrong
You got a best friend sing, sing along

Laughing so damn hard
Crashed your dad's new car
All the scars we share
I promise, I swear

Wherever you go, just always remember
That you got a home for now and forever
And if you get low, just call me whenever
This is my oath to you
Wherever you go, just always remember
You're never alone, we're birds of a feather
And we'll never change, no matter the weather
This is my oath to you

Oh ohh, I'll never let you go
Oh ohh, whoa, this is my oath to you
Oh ohh, just thought that you should know
Oh ohh, whoa, this is my oath to you

Yeah...

Wherever you go, just always remember
That you got a home for now and forever
And if you get low, just call me whenever
This is my oath to you
Wherever you go, just always remember
You're never alone, we're birds of a feather
And we'll never change, no matter the weather
This is my oath to you

Oh ohh
You should know, you should know, you should know, you should know, yeah
Oh ohh, whoa, this is my oath to you
Oh ohh
Wherever you go, just always remember
You're never alone, we're birds of a feather
And we'll never change, no matter the weather
Oh ohh, this is my oath to you

One Direction

I’m going to use this blog for kind of a rant. One Direction is a boy band that is mainly for the audience of younger girls. Now this post isn’t going to be about how much I hate them or anything (as I know I’d get a lot of crap for that, and I don’t know their music well enough to judge them as a band.) This post is really to take the time to vent about the fact that all that I have been hearing about is Harry Styles’ death! I get that he died young, and I get that it’s sad. I don’t mean to be disrespectful but why is it all that people talk about? It seems to me that all that matters to people really is what goes on with celebrities.

I feel that the reason I’m actually hearing about this so much has something to do with the fact that I’m constantly surrounded around younger girls at school (who happen to love One Direction) but the thing that truly surprises me is the fact that I didn’t hear as much about Paul Walkers death as I have Harry Styles’ its weird to me. I feel  like I always hear more about the deaths of musicians more than actors. I’m not exactly sure if its because more musicians die younger than actors… Maybe because musicians enjoy the “sex, drugs, and rock n roll” kind of life where as actors may be less likely to? I have no idea. I guess honestly the whole point of this post was to explain that I’m tired of hearing about Harrys’ death? I don’t really know.

Another thing that surprises is that according to the police there were no drugs involved, he was just swerving all over the road and going 90 on a 55? Maybe the police are trying to hide something? I have no idea, but why would someone be doing that originally, unless something was in their system.
